Chive Butter


  • unsalted butter
  • 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), softened
  • chives 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped
  • ground pepper 1 (to taste)
  • salt (to taste)


  1. Place butter and chives in bowl; beat until creamy
  2. Add salt and pepper; mix well
  3. Cover top of small plate with plastic wrap
  4. Place Chives Butter on plastic wrap; shape into 1/2 inch deep circle
  5. Refrigerate until hard; cut into circles with 1-inch canape or cookie cutter
  6. Remove plastic wrap from plate; push out circles from plastic-wrap side
  7. Note: Chives Butter can be kept in covered container in refrigerator at least 10 days
